Promoting and protecting the rights, dignity and wellbeing of children online through the Ubuntu philosophy: "I am because we are."
Children of the Digital Age Zimbabwe (CODAZIM) is a non-profit, child-focused organisation committed to promoting and protecting the rights, dignity and wellbeing of children in the digital era.
We are a diverse team of advocates, educators, researchers and digital rights defenders who believe that children must be safe, empowered, and respected both online and offline.
Founded in response to the growing digital threats facing Zimbabwean children, CODAZIM stands at the intersection of technology, child protection, culture, and policy.
Every child deserves a safe digital space to learn, connect, and thrive.
Digital development must align with Ubuntu values: community, empathy, respect and responsibility.
Innovation must never come at the cost of children's wellbeing and cultural identity.
"Our children deserve to be safe online, just as they deserve to be safe at home and in school. It is our collective duty to shape a digital Africa that reflects our values, our humanity, and our Ubuntu."— Mussollini Salem Mugumbate, Director
